Ms. Morrison's Recitatif:
Named for her only short story, the Ms. Morisson bracelet speaks to her simple complexity. Her stories are written for and about Black people and as such reveal the diaspora as anything but a monolith. She tells stories that unfurl with each reading. Known for wearing understated colors, she allowed her words to name and define her. This bracelet constructed with jasper, agate, and recycled glass, is meant to do the same.
origin: Ghana, Nigeria, US
This collection pays homage to trailblazing Black literary giants and celebrates Black History Month. This tote bag gives you the wings to fly and like the Nobel and Pulitzer prize winning author wrote in Song of Solomon, “You wanna fly, you got to give up the sh*t that weighs you down.” 10% of the sale of each bag is being donated to the United Negro College Fund.
